| In the beautiful Monastero’s Valley,
surrounded by zibibbo grapes and capers growings, fruit-trees and Meditteranean
flora, some old “dammusos” (typical buildings
of Pantelleria, made of cut stones) have been repaired and turned into very
confortable accomodations, ideal for spending restful holidays. Our available dammusos are inserted in the context of Santa Teresa Farm, that extends on an area of 40 hectares, cultivated with zibibbo grapes vineyards, nero d’Avola and cabernet grapes, with olive trees, cultivations of aromatic spices, vegetables, lentils and wood. All the flats reserved to the guests are furnished with great care and allow you to spend a holiday at an absolute rest and quiet. The swimming pool becomes a place of relax after boat excursions under the African sun. The intense blue sea is ideal for people loving underwater fishing. The walks along marked paths, spread on all the Island, will let you discover a lot of evocative and archaeologically interesting places. The fascinating thermal zones, with its natural sauna, the mud-baths of Venere Lake, the hot waters in the Sea and on the Coasts, allow you to take a plunge even during winter-time. Our agriculture is rigorously biologic in every production’s phase. We are always at disposal to show to our guests the different activities that take place in our Farm during the year, the vineyard and olive tree’s pruning, the lentils and origan’s sowing and harvest, with exsiccation and preparation of raisins. From the end of August you can assist and collaborate to the grape-harvest; the “Cantina” (wine-cellar) in Monastero’s Valley is an interesting place to visit; here you can have tastings and see production’s techniques. Between the end of October and the beginning of November, you can assist to the olive harvest and to the oil’s production in our oil-mill. |
